What is needed when joining the REALTORS® Commercial Alliance of Massachusetts:
- Application form
- Copy of Real Estate License
- Application fee
- Optional: Dues are payable before becoming an approved REALTOR® member
and may be submitted with the application fee.
REALTOR® Application Fee: $100 one-time
fee as long as Active REALTOR® status is maintained. This fee
must be submitted with the application.
DESIGNATED REALTOR® Application Fee: $100
one-time fee as long as Active DESIGNATED REALTOR® status is
maintained. This fee must be submitted with the application.
REALTOR® Dues: $503 during 2009 for National, State and Local Board Dues. Local ($250 per year for 2009) are prorated monthly. Important Note: if you are already a REALTOR ®, you have paid your state and national dues through another Board of REALTORS ® and would only owe local dues, prorated by month. For local dues or local/state/national, see attached breakdown. Dues are payable before becoming an approved REALTOR® member and may be submitted with the application fee.
Orientation Course: Applicants who are not
currently REALTORS ® are required per the Bylaws to attend
an Orientation course, which is offered regularly. Classes are
held at NEAR, and new applicants are notified by mail about scheduling.
Assessment Fee: Assessment
fees are applicable to non-members. If a licensed salesperson works
in a REALTOR ® firm but does not wish to join the Board of
REALTORS®, the Designated REALTOR of that firm is assessed
a “non-member licensee” fee, which is the same amount
as dues but does not constitute dues. In this case, the non-member
may not use the term “REALTOR®” and is not a member
of the National, State, or Local Association and may not participate
in the CPE (Commercial Property Exchange). The fee is assessed
to the Designated REALTOR ® annually and is not pro-rated.
Reinstatement Fee: A Reinstatement fee of $25
is payable when a former RCA-MA member wishes to re-activate
Board membership. Current yearly dues are payable at time of reinstatement.
If a former member has been inactive for more than one year, he
or she must reapply as a new member and attend the Orientation
course prior to reinstatement.
Office Transfer Charge : $25
is charged when a member transfers to another office or firm. |
